This work ‘Erosion + Deposition’ was created to be held and considered — a quiet invitation to engage in conversation. For me, conversation isn’t only spoken; it’s the silent dialogue between materials, place, memory, and time.
The title, In the Anthropocene | Erosion + Deposition, reflects ongoing concerns with shifting coastlines and river rhythms — how rising waters, flash floods, and drought erode and deposit, reshape and remember. How we, too, are shaped by these forces, often without realising it.
The handmade box opens in two equal halves — in conversation with each other — containing two cast bronze ‘home’ pieces and chromatographic paper works. Crafted with Clairefontaine Ingres laid paper, mill board, and pigment inks, the materials speak of process, impermanence, and the trace of change.
📦 One-of-a-kind (1/1) edition, created for Holding Conversations selling for @£75. Contact @visualartsscotland for details.
